Cindy Smart is one of the most unique dolls around. She is a fantastic educational tool for young children. She can read, do math, spell, identify shapes and colors and tell time. By allowing the child to become the teacher, they "learn" how to learn, which reinforces the classroom experience. Cindy is loaded with a digital camera, microprocessor and voice recognition software that helps her react to what you say to her. Cindy has 70 pre-programmed commands. Simply place some of the included letters, numbers, pictures and colors on the blackboard (also included.) A low-resolution digital camera inside Cindy then scans a 15 degree radius in search of this information. Buried in her belly, Cindy's 16 bit microprocessor (an upgrade from the toy industry standard 4 bit) then compares the text with her data base of 650 words and she responds!

Cindy spells and translates some foreign words in French, German, Italian and Spanish into English. Cindy has 2 learning levels and 2 levels of play - one for voice recognition, one that is non-voice for advanced users. Her open/closed mouth features built in animatronics, so her mouth moves when she speaks. The advanced voice recognition technology lets Cindy understand what you're saying!

Cindy is approx. 18-1/2" tall. She is a vinyl doll, and her long blond synthetic hair is in a ponytail. She has blue acrylic eyes with synthetic upper lashes. Cindy is jointed so she can sit or stand and pose her arms and her head. She uses replaceable 3 AAA and 3 AA alkaline batteries (included, an opening for the batteries is in her back.) Cindy wears a long sleeved pink t-shirt, denim bib shorts with shoulder straps, white socks and black vinyl shoes. A comb for her hair is included. You also receive:
