XM Radio Subscription

I'm a new XM radio listener since the radio came 'free' in my new car. The trial subscription recently expired and I'm missing the talk shows ... NOT the political stations (ugh) but the stations on money saving,
legal woes & answers, computer knowledge, etc.
XM Radio instructs me to call the radio ID # to subscribe but I've only heard pricing from my daughter-in-law (roughly $39 for three months?!?). Are there coupons/codes available, better deals or am I just to expect to pay whatever they quote when I call in?
