"Today Moosehead is calling on all Canadians to help bring back the moose. We want Canadians to send a message to Ottawa that they can’t ignore one of the country’s biggest assets. People around the world know that when they see a moose it’s like seeing a maple leaf - it’s Canada."

The Petition Reads:

Whereas the Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) has decided to remove “mountains, moose and the Mounties” from Canadian travel materials;

And whereas the CTC states that the French are known for cuisine, the Swiss for precision, and the Italians for fine clothing, and believes these are “good” clichés;

We believe the CTC should continue to tell Canadians and people around the world about the contribution of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the sheer natural beauty of the majestic Canadian Rockies, and about the king of the Canadian forest - the moose.
