Our town has gone crazy!

Our little town of 5,000 people has suddenly and very exponentially grown overnight to about 25,000 people! And I'm not exagerating!

It happens every year when Ichthus Christian Music Festival comes to town, but this year it's so chaotic! We've had torrential rains almost all week and lots of places are flooded or very swampy. Well, the usual site where 25,000 people camp out for the weekend is nothing but knee-deep mud. So they closed the gates at 3:00 yesterday (when the majority of people were trying to come in). And they still haven't re-opened them to let in any more people! They had traffic backed up for about 15 miles. People sat in traffic for anywhere from 2-6 hours! They had to make emergency shelters throughout the churches and schools for the night. I pastor a small church outside of town and we've got about 125 people staying in there. And the church I clean in town is another shelter for about 200 people. There are literally people everywhere! *phew* It's tough to get anywhere without somebody asking what's going on! Btw, we had tickets to go as well and haven't been able to get there. Oh well.

I just hope we survive this weekend!
