I hope everyone that is in Southern California is breathing ok... I want to send good wishes to those who have lost there homes or who just are not sure yet... This is so bad. I looked out my window this weekend and saw huge flames in the hills. Both of my parents homes were not burend but they came close as one was evacuated. SO again . Although we can't get away from the smoke and ashes. Everyone Please take care of yourself and family!!!!

I have a relative 5 miles from the fire and they are elderly residents that are having problems breathing so they are taking and putting blankets on the outside of their windows. He never even knew there was a fire there until he got the call at 5 AM yesterday waking him. They are still in their homes so hopefully they can continue to be there. I do have a step brother stationed in the marines there and we haven't heard anything yet and no calls have been returned from his mom.

This just serves to remind us of how lucky most of us really are. We need to remember to celebrate and give thanks for the little things of life every day because there are many today who cannotfor one reason or another.

That is so scary. My friend says it looks like the end of the world out there. The ash and smoke are horrific. The moon turns the color of blood and the sun is darkened. Really freaky. I pray everyone gets safely evacuated and these fires get put out soon.

I wish I could send some of this snowstorm we are having out to California.
