Question Cleaning a Coffee Pot Inside???? Any Good Tips??

I just acquired a really nice vintage Stainless Steel Coffee Percolator.....but the inside has very dark 'coffee stains'....looks like they only ever 'rinsed it'...instead of cleaning it.

Anyone have any great 'Cleaning tricks' for getting this out without having to scrub for hours. I don' t want to scratch the inside. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Gang!!

Isn't the cleaning solution "CLR" supposed to be good for that? I think you can just swish it around inside and rinse. You can get CLR just about anywere. It in a gray plastic container with a tri-colored label.

I found a great and easy way to clean tea pots and I imagine it would work on coffee pots too since it also works on cooking pots. Just pour some cream of tartar (powder type) in the pot, fill with water and boil for a while. Works really well.
