Such a Sad Story
This is an incredibly sad story that was on our news last night. I have been so sad thinking about it since then. It is kind of a reality check and makes you want to hug your babies and never let go.
Surely, this family could use lots of extra prayers. Car Hits Children Playing; 2 Die, 1 in Critical Condition - Story Link at KSL

I can't even imagine their pain. I hope the 3rd child pulls through okay.
One time we were in the house at my parents in the dining room which is in the front of the house and we hear a crash. Look out the window an there is a car in the front yard. We were able to get the plate number before the kid backed up and took off. All I could think of was what if my kids were playing out there or if just someone was walking down the sidewalk. We did call the police and they talked to him, hopefully it scared him enough to drive more carefully. My aunt also had someone drive up her front lawn this summer, tore up the lawn and left. When we moved into this neighborhood 7 years ago, kids played in the street and their front yards all the time, unfortunately most of those kids are now speeding up and down the street in their cars so I rarely have my kids in the front yard. I can not imagine why they wouldn't charge this driver? |
