Is this a scam? I think yes..

Here is a copy of probable email ebay scam I got today.. My ebay email address and username were in the email. (background- I have only bought on ebay 30 times ..all have very positive feedback).. .. Who do I report it to?

suspend, indefinitely suspend or terminate your membership and refuse

provide our services to you if we believe that your actions may cause

loss or legal liability for you, our users or us. We may also take

actions if we are unable to verify or authenticate any information you
provide
to us.


For these reasons we ask you to provide us your last four digits from
your
credit card number which you used when you registered with our site
along
with your account password for verification purposes.


We regret to inform you that your eBay account will be suspended due to
concerns we have for the safety and integrity of the eBay community if
you
will not reply to this message with the information requested above in

Esaver.....we didn't get the same email that you did, but we did get a similar one last night supposedly from Ebay saying our User ID had been compromised and to re-do all of our account info at some linked page.

I forwarded the email to Ebay last night with all headers and footers and they replied this morning that they were investigating it and thanked me. They said it looked like a scam.

Thanks alot Luna Sea! I couldnt figure out where to report this. I got another strange email last week regarding my pay pal account. I didnt report it but I should have. These scammers are getting more and more bold!

You're welcome, Esaver and JackiesMom! Ebay doesn't make topics that easy to find sometimes.....but when I reported the first bogus "Ebay" email we got....I actually saved the link to this "report" page to my faves. That makes it easier for me.....as these emails are becoming more and more common.
