do you have a crush on someone?

Here's a question my hubby and I had some fun thinking about ...

If you could have a crush on any FICTIONAL character, who would it be? Books, movies, tv, etc. but not actors/actresses, although the way he/she plays the role might influence your decision.

Here's some of ours:
hubby: Dharma from Dharma and Greg, Janeane Garofalo's character The Bowler in Mystery Men, Winnie Cooper from The Wonder Years
mine: Mel Gibson as Nick in What Women Want, Wesley from the Princess Bride, Tony Danza in Who's the Boss

It was fun to think of childhood crushes as well.

So who do you have a crush on?!?

My choices:

Hugh Jackman in just about anything.....but "Someone Like You" and "Swordfish" are awesome....
Mel Gibson in any "Lethal Weapon" movie...
James Penfold.....the male model in the current Armani Mania print ads.....be still my beating heart....

Hubby has major thangs for:
Sandra Bullock in "Speed" (and in any other movie)
and
Nia Peeples (he watches Walker Texas Ranger reruns everyday on USA)....

I think as we were talking, the funnest ones were crushes from when we were kids/teens. It was really fun recalling old tv shows and stuff.

Plus it's really funny how much these crushes reveal about you! For example, my husband's choices were almost all "quirky" characters -- so it's not hard to figure out how he ended up with me! And mine really are about character development or the renaissance man type -- which is pretty close to my hubby.

So what do your crushes say about you?!?

Luna, I think your's are very incriminating!!!!!

He he he.....after reading your analysis of your renaissance man, Beth....it made me really start comparing my choices and my hubby. And for what it's worth.....my hubby is very active, smart, outspoken, has a wicked sense of humour, macho but with a soft heart. Soooo, I do see similarities with my first two choices.....I think they're dead on...especially for the characters chosen. But that male model choice.....I don't know a thang about him except he is mighty purty to look at! He must be my wild card.......

This is a great topic!

Thumbs up

hmmm... fictional character crushes? i have a few, mostly in movies.

thora birch's character ENID in GHOST WORLD.
i actually find her nerdy glasses and dark bobcut hair and dead-on demeanor quite alluring.

Ally Sheedy's character Allison Reynolds in The breakfast Club.

Mary Stuart Masterson's character Watts in Some Kind Of Wonderful.

Audrey Tautou's character Amelie Poulain in Amelie.

somehow these character's just hit me square in my heart. I guess its their unconventionality and the fact that the characters are a step and a half away from normal. my ultra-normal life begs for something different, i guess.
