Hi littlred.....Sue gave us the link to this free online utility program a while back and it lets you resize your gifs. See if this helps you.

I was wondering how tons of people had animation with the limited size. Thanks for asking and thanks for the great site ... be looking for a new Avatar for me in a few days!

I've gotta question ... I've found some really cute animations that I want to save to my computer to show my hubby, but every time I save them to my desktop it just saves it as a regular picture. Is there anyway special to make it animated once it's saved?

I don't save mine to desktop, I right click on them and then click "save picture as" and put them into a seperate folder. Then I open that folder and click on it and it should open as animated.

If you have a PC, the problem might be the way that you are opening them after they are saved ex_cdr.
Try this:
Hold the Shift button, then right-click on the file & choose "Open with" from the menu that pops up.
Find & select your internet browser from the list.
Hope this helps!

Thank you all for your help! It ended up that I needed to open it up with my browser instead of my picture program. Now I can go and find all kinds of fun animated avatars!

Ya'll are great!!!

Hmm. Make sure that the bubble beside the Yes for "Use custom avatar" is selected before you click the Submit Modifications button. That old selection might be overriding the uploaded one if that's not selected.
