Snoring Loudly.........Any Remedies, Anyone?

I know this isn't the typical query...........I am looking at products to reduce snoring and I came across a company with a line of products that is fairly new to the USA:

http://www.hivoxusa.com/
http://groups.msn.com/hivox/shoebox.msnw?Page=1

Have anybody tried the Snore Stopper or any other product from this company? Says these products are already sold in Europe and Japan.

Any comments appreciated..............

Gold_digger - are you snoring or is someone close to you snoring?

I ask because my hubby is a loud snorer and I was close to murdering him before I bought some ear plugs to wear at night. Sometimes when he is really loud - I can still hear him - but he sounds like he is far, far away and I doze right back off.

I use a foam type that you squish to a point on one end and they reshape in your ear canal. They have been a saving grace because I can get grouchy when I am sleep-deprived. I can sleep and I don't wake up and tell him to "turn over" numerous times a night.

Just a thought and I buy them at Walmart and they're not that expensive.

I agree with the ear plugs. My dh snores terribly. Sometimes so bad I have to go sleep in another room. But lately we've found a product that really does help, and believe me, we've tried alot of them. He uses Snor-Enz. He got it at our local grocery store. Sprays it in his throat right before he falls asleep and it really decreases the amount of snoring.

Thanks, Sue - I would like to decrease dh's snoring - even if I can't hear him that loudly with ear plugs. You know, there is just no way he is getting quality sleep snoring like that. I will buy some and see if it helps him snore less and sleep better!

Great post! I was just at the store today looking for something for my hubby! He said a friend of his uses a clip type thing on his nose that he got at the local drugstore.

We've tried the Breathe Right strips that go on top of your nose (like the football players wear) and that helps him sometimes.

I'm not clear on whether its a nose or throat noise. Is there a difference? I'm going to get the throat spray and see if that helps. When I saw it today, it was around $14. Are you paying that much?

I'm not sure how much it cost, but that is the only brand that worked. We tried just about everything out there. The Breath-right strips worked for a little bit, but not for very long.

I find that if you take a large pillow place firmly over the face and pressed 'HARD' will not hear the snoring....then I realized I was pressing it firmly over the wrong face **Be sure to brush up on your CPR...should you choose to revive him!!!

You totally crack me up - I am still giggling!!

Before buying my ear plugs, I did consider the "pillow therapy" numerous times.....but my conscience (and the fact that I don't really look good in prison colors) made me think twice. He he he.......

Don't let him sleep on his back. If he rolls on his back, try to roll him over. This can get pretty physical though.

Have a doctor check him out to be sure that there isn't a health condition such as sleep apnea. Sometimes it can be surgically corrected.

I totally agree with Peachfront, too. He definitely needs to checked for sleep apnea.....very important.

And before ear plugs (BEP), I used to try to roll hubby over on his side. He did roll over - but got mad at me for waking him up and he sure used some "colorful" language, too.

Sleepy people sure can be grouchy - and we were both losing sleep back then.

I roll my sweet dear wonder hubby over, and over...how ever many flips it takes to roll him off the bed!

A good hard 'drop' onto the floor will usually stop the snoring...for how ever brief a time it is.

And as you can tell, I don't become just crouchy when I am sleep deprived...it's every man for himself..(or woman)

LMBO, Startn.......you're too much, my dear!! Your hubby needs some jammies with airbags......

It's all starting to sound like a new episode of Survivor......

"Survivor 7: Snoreland"

Tribal Council results in THE SNORER being voted (unanimously) to go sleep outside with the doggies.......

The winning tribe member goes to

And all is well for the night.

My hubby snores even when he's on his side. I suppose we could have him checked for a real medical problem, but he's only been doing this for the last few months or so. I used to say "shhhh" and he'd stop. Now I have to shake the bed and sock him in the back and tell him to shut up!

My brother tells me that when he reaches a certain weight he starts snoring! It's usually like 15 lbs or more than what he normally is. (He's 6'4'' and 270!)

I can't wear earplugs because someone has to hear the kids if they need us, and the pillow thing has crossed my mind!

IT'S A MIRACLE!

We have found the answer to save our marriage! The Breathe Right strips weren't working so I went to the store to find the Snor Enz spray recommended by The Verifier. That wasn't available so I bought the Breathe Right Snore Relief Throat Spray. WOW! My husband doesn't snore anymore-honest! If he does, it's really minor. I chuckled the first time I heard him because it was like a lion with a pip-squeak sound!

I am so happy now! He must be too because he can now let the bruises heal on his right arm!

I highly recommend this throat spray if you are having problems with snoring!

Hmm - how much is it and how long do you estimate a bottle to last?

It's a 2 oz. bottle and you only need 2-3 sprays a night. I would say it should last a couple of months. I paid around $13 for it. To me, it was soooo worth it I'd pay $100 for it!

My husband forgot to use it last night and I had to wake him up in the midst of his snoring to make him take it - after that, no problems!!!

Drugstore.com shows it at 9.99 + ship. Thanks, Marrinat (I would be the one using it, lol).
