124 is a good score assuming accuracy
I don't have the patience to take any more IQ tests. I was sort of an experimental guinea pig for the school when I was a child. But if the test is really accurately scored, which I'm not sure of with an internet test, 124 is definitely a good score.
The IQ test is supposed to be scaled so that a normal average human of perfectly normal average intelligence would score 100. Almost everyone scores around 100. If you scored much less, it would be because you suffered from an intelligence deficit. 90 is not too swift, 80 is getting to where you would have difficulties getting through life, 60 is quite severely disadvantaged. On the other side of the curve, 120 is definitely bright enough where you have an advantage in life although it is not quite genius level, which kicks in around 130 or so. There is more to intelligence than just being intelligent. There is also using what you have. IIRC Albert Einstein had an IQ of around 110 but being technically just a bit above normal (as a small child, he actually showed development delays in learning to speak) did not stop him from great intellectual achievement. Of course, being a genius never hurts -- they estimate Newton (the inventor of calculus and 3 laws of motion guy) to have an IQ over 160. IQs much over 180 probably don't exist in healthy well-rounded individuals although I've heard some claims. Many super IQs have personality deficits -- the guy who sits around and plays chess all day syndrome -- example Bobby Fischer. For that matter, Isaac Newton seems to have suffered some pretty severe social deficits. It's said he died a virgin, and much of his life was spent fighting w/ the French inventor of calculus and experimenting w/ alchemy (a pseudo-scientific form of witchcraft). I'd say 120 is probably about right for a well-rounded person! |

Just got this in my email:
"Shana, you are an Inspired Inventor. Did you know? More than 60% of Inspired Inventors sleep in the nude." EEEWWWWW! I can tell you THIS one doesn't! (5 kids is definitely enough!) I actually can't sleep without my 100% cotton PJs. Preferably the ones with the little pink sheep on them

Yours is good Shana!!
Wow - I did better than I thought I would.... I just got an email that said :"Vickie, you are a Visionary Philosopher. Did you know? Visionary Philosophers love chocolate. 57% of them reach for it when a food craving strikes." It had a picture, too. ![]() Hmmm...... I hardly ever crave chocolate, so I must be in the "other" 43%....... and I'm telling ya, that picture does not look a thing like me!! Who took that - the DMV???!! ![]() This is too much fun!!
