My 3 year old has the Croup again! Last night after attempting the shower steam and cold air to no avail we brought her into the ER and had a breathing treatment and an hour of mist treatment...took some steroids and at 3am were back home...boy am I tired today LOL!!!! She had a hair appt for 10 and christmas pic appointment for noon and is coughing her head off so I cancelled all those until next week!

I feel for you as my 7 year old gets a bout of croup at least 2 times during the winter months......The doctors make me so upset though as they don't do much here...Maybe I will start using the ER. You know it is bad when even cold air doesn't help. I am lucky enough to have a nebulizer and inhalers around my house though so I start right in on it even though he doesn't have asthma it helps a great deal. Hope she feels better soon....

I hope she feels better soon too. My 7 year old still gets that every so often. She got it a lot more when she was younger. I spent many a night sleeping (basically not sleeping) on the floor of her room so I could keep track of her. {{{aprilgail and dd}}}
