Halloween Costumes

I thought it would be fun to share what our kids and parents (if they dress up) are going to be!? and how everyone is going to celebrate halloween!?

My four year old, Brenden is going to be a fireman, and my almost 11 mth old is tigger!

its REALLY cold here, high of mid 20s so we arent going to do a lot of outdoor trick or treating. we are just going to go around to the grandparents/great grandparents by car, then do our neighbors (street) when we get home. i figure that is enough time outside and enough candy that we dont need, but enough fun for the kids to enjoy. then we can pass out candy at home too.

My Pre-schooler is going to be a hairy green monster (his face pokes out through the monster's mouth!) and my 2nd grader is going to be his favorite book character... Captain Underpants!

Hey ya'll - HAPPY HALLOWEENIE TO YA!!

I wish my kids were still young enough to trick or treat - but alas, as teenagers - they are not. SO, they will both be dressed as couch potatoes as they help dole out candy to trick-or-treaters and watch scary movies tonight.

I love all the costumes so far - and I even know who Captain Underpants is......... I am proud!!

My kids are dressing up in their own creations this year.

My three year old daughter found a pumpkin cape and one of those flower petal headbands that they sell at Target and we put a little tiara on it and she calls herself the Pumpkin princess.
My seven year old boy wants to wear his insulated coveralls and carry around one of his dad's feed buckets and call himself a farmer. The nine year old is wearing a sheet over her snowsuit and calling herself a snowball because we have got three inches of snow in three days. The eleven year old is wearing another sheet and saying she is a ghost. She is mainly going around the trunk or treating to keep an eye on the three year old this year. I'm going as myself.

Startn: That is TOO funny!

Shellybell: I wish my kids were that creative...

Okay, here's our family, for those of you who are familiar with Blue's Clues:

Joey (my avatar guy) is going as Blue the puppy
The 3 year old is Periwinkle the cat
The 5 year old is Joe
The 10 year old is Magenta the puppy
and my poor husband is Steve.

My teenage daughter is too cool to dress up as anything cute (I think she was just mad that she couldn't be Blue) and so she is going out with her friends as Cleopatra.

Me? I'm going as a sane person this year. (Believe me, it's a stretch...) Actually, I am being a "CLUE" with a big blue pawprint on me. But I'm just staying home to hand out (and help myself to) the candy!

Glad yaw'l think it's funny!!!

We have 'no kids'...we live 'Rural'..."GET THE PICTURE!!".....

His idea of 'Dressing up'....is putting white tube 'knee socks' on...with his undies!!

Which might explain 'WHY WE NEVER GET ANY TRICK-or-TREATERS!!"

My, that's a vivid image!
In fact, that has to be the scariest Halloween story I've ever heard.
Hope his undies fit tight...wouldn't want the hallowed-weinie to show itself on Halloweenie, ya know?!

You know, I don't think my husband would dare to walk around in his fruit-of-the-looms...he'd be a walkin' wedgie waitin' to happen!

But I am going to have tube-sock nightmares now.

"EXACTLY!!!"

Must be you've 'seen HIM!' Except it's 'baggy' Fruit of the Looms....and white tube 'knee socks'

Maybe that's why he 'Never' drinks any kind of 'HOT' Beverage!!!

OUCH!!!!

He wore flesh colored sweats, a red cape, and a pair of Men's size 40 tighty-whiteys hiked up to his chest! He won the most unique costume award at his school!

It was so cold here last night (below 30 at 5 p.m.) that we didn't have many trick-or-treaters... now, what to do with all the left over candy!?!

my daughter was a cow....I had a princess outfit all ready for her but she wanted to be a cow! It was a quiet year, we only had about 150 kids this year compared to the 200-250 on a normal year....as soon as it hit 6pm we only had one or two others after that....usually it goes pretty steady from 3 until 8 or so.....the worst is when it falls on a weekend,...you get them from noon till 8pm LOL
