McDonald's French Fries
Has anyone had McD's french fries lately? I know things were going to be changed with the fat content, but my favorite fries have been ruined! I took my son out to lunch today, the fries were just plain nasty!

Ugh!
i knew they were going to use a different oil to cook them in so they were "better" for us. i was hoping it wouldnt change the taste. we just had them last friday and they were the same, but i know it was going ot start in a few mcdonalds and spread to all by the beginning of the year. they will lose a lot of buisness if it changes the taste drastically.

You can "Thank" the man who is suing Micky D's and the other 3 Fast Food Chains!! I honestly don't know whether to 'laugh' or get 'angry' over someone claiming they didn't know eating those 'kind of foods, at those places'... would make him 'FAT!!!' Give me a break!
And Playing in the Mud won't make you dirty!!  Dr. Phil will be dealing with one of them on his new show in the very near future!! Can't wait to see it...Hope he rips them a new 'Butt.'....or rips off their 'Big Butt!'

Scary!
I had some today and didn't even notice. Possibly I was too hungry...I did eat them kind of fast! And then again....maybe Maine hasn't changed yet...sometime we are a little slow to follow up here!

I haven't been able to eat them since they got rid of the beef fat
Way back when, they actually tasted good to me, but when they went to a vegetable fat some years ago, after the vegetarians complained that they'd been unknowingly eating beef fat, I basically never ate them again except a bite or two. I'm not sure how they could have made them any more uninspiring...hate to think what the "new improved" recipe must be like if it's worse!

McD's frys have always been best!!
As fast food junkie I've always liked their fries best. The fries are one of the few things they havent changed- Even the Big Mac went through a shrinking process.... I pray the new frys arent like Burger Kings. We used to eat their(Burger King) frequently but that was pre-frychange.

Well, actually, they HAVE changed the fries. This will be the second change to my knowledge. But it probably depends on how old you are. If you are really O-L-D, then you can remember when the fries tasted way beyond what they tasted like in the 90s. My age is showing here...

I guess I'll have to try another McD's to see what I think of their fries. I've always loved McD's fries, with salt of course. My second favorite would be Culver's fries, anyone ever had those? Mmmm, it's before 8 and I'm craving french fries

I mystery shop for McDonald's, and they've asked me to taste test the new fries when they are available in this area and give them my opinion.
If anyone feels traumatized by the new fries, I can include that in my report. Since they pay me for my opinion, they might take it more seriously coming from me (like my opinion is really worth more than $.02), but go to the http://www.mcdonalds.com website and email them if you really feel strongly about it.
