I'll probably just watch the recaps on the news shows in the morning. But I'm really pulling for Lord of the Rings to win a bunch of awards!

..........

Congrats to Halle Berry... that's quite the honor... Didn't expect Denzel, thought for sure Russell Crowe would've taken it.

I was a little disappointed that Amelie didn't win any awards. I thought that was one of the better films this year.

Anyone else have any thoughts on the outcome?

I wasn't that surprised about most of the Academy Awards.. they couldn't have gone really wrong this year with most of the choices.. Denzel didn't deserve it.. but they weren't going to give it to Crowe AGAIN.. (being that he didn't deserve it last year.. but did the year before.. so probably he'll win it next year for something that is average.. a make up pick)

And although Amelie was an incredible movie.. once you see No Man's Land you'll know why it won (it comes out on video a week from Tuesday, so you can get it) for Best Foreign Picture over Amelie.. Also Lagaan is another incredible movie (if you like Bollywood movies, which I do) in the foreign department..

Overall it was a good AA.. I just wish that the awards department hadn't been so flooded so that the ratings would stay up..
