My local store is closing, too!

What a shame. I didn't shop there often, but I have had luck finding clothes for my husband there (he's a Big & Tall guy)

Wow. They are closing almost everyone of the K-Marts that I know of. But, hey, that's okay!! That just means that we DEALHUNTERS will have a great time huntin' up some deals!!

The K-mart that is 10 Minuits from me is Staying OPEN.
but the real trashy one that is 1/2 away is clsoing.

I love to get my boys jeans there. ( that is if I can ever find them in the mess)

Both my local Kmarts are staying open, but the one that is 45 minutes away is closing. That's ok though. I LOVE the super walmart

we're losing 2 of 3, including our biggest one. Not too much of a loss since all three are half an hour away and you have to fight traffic all the way.

I am sorry that so many people are losing their jobs though. We don't have many places for them to find jobs at.

Two out of the 3 in the Madison area are closing and I'm not really sorry to see them go. The one left is really quite dirty and very unorganized, I hardly ever shop there. I do feel sorry for the employees too, times are tough, hopefully they can find a job quickly! Does anyone know when this will take effect?

Just went and wow! what a difference in our store. Management must have actually heard some of the complaints about how trashy it had gotten. Of course, it's closing in a few months, but at least they made it presentable for a while.

I had to go snag the last bit of Martha Stewart bedding that I needed before its gone. I don't want to have to pay MS Living prices from their website!

Don't forget any of those MS items that you might need to stock up on ... it probably won't pay to wait until those sales, since once they start people get *crazy*!!!

Do you think the stores closing will have some good deals or just wait until the stores are empty? The stores around here closing act like nothing is happening, just carrying on as usual.

I'm sure they will start with 20% off. then take forver to increase it. but by then everyone goes crazy to get the 20% off. In when all reality it is not that much.
but I am looking for the chairs to go on sale for my kitchen . every little bit helps.
I hope I don't get caught up in the craze.

I thought ours was closing, but I just checked the list and it is not on there. I don't really shop there often anyway. Like Darciann, I LOVE WALMART!!!
